Angie Moon Conte is a multi-disciplinary artist based in NYC. She earned her BA in dance from Roger Williams University, and a Masters Degree in dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. As a dancer she has worked with artists such as Crystal Pite, David Dorfman, Sean Curran, Kate Weare, among others. Her choreography has been celebrated both in both the concert and competition scenes. Her work has been presented in iconic spaces including The Kennedy Center, Westbeth, St. Marks Church, Dixon Place, University Settlement, and Triskelion. She is half of the experimental art duo Headlight Assembly with collaborator Benny Krown, and their work together now resides in the permanent collection at the Museum on Wild & Newfangled Art. When she is not dancing she is working in film as a production designer for feature films, shorts, commercials, and music videos. Every so often those worlds get to collide, including movement direction and production design, recently for artists such as Car Seat Headrest and sunday works. She is a proud teacher and mentor to many, and her greatest pride comes from helping students find their individual voices, and mentoring them through their own creative pursuits. In her free time she enjoys metal smithing, fine art, and crafting.
