National Convention
Open Scholarship Auditions offer dancers ages 10-12 and 13 & older the opportunity to showcase their talent in a dynamic class audition setting. Participants may audition in ballet, tap, jazz, and acro, with modern available for ages 13 & older.
Designed to challenge and inspire, these auditions give dancers the chance to earn scholarships and recognition from respected industry professionals. It’s a supportive environment where participants can build confidence, expand their skills, and shine.
Female entrants: The required clothing shall be the responsibility of the entrant.
- One-piece solid black leotard and pink tights must be worn for Ballet. No embellishments, studio logos, or undergarments showing. Sheer and lace allowed.
- Any color leotard and tights may be worn for jazz and contemporary. Females not wearing tights for Jazz or Modern must wear boy cut dance shorts over their leotard.
- Appropriate dance shoes for all classes. There are no shoe requirements for Jazz and Contemporary.
- No jewelry, shirts, or pants, etc.
- Hair must be secured neatly and off the neckline, no ponytails, no hats, or other head ornaments.
Male entrants: The required clothing shall be the responsibility of the entrant.
- Black form fitting pants, black tights, or black form fitting shorts must be worn for Ballet Class along with a black form fitting compression shirt or muscle shirt tucked in. Must be able to dance comfortably.
- Dance Belt.
- Any color may be worn for Jazz and Contemporary.
- Appropriate dance shoes for all classes. There are no shoe requirements for Jazz or Contemporary.
- No jewelry, hats, etc.
- Hair must be secured neatly off the neckline, no ponytails, or other head ornaments.
- No stripes, logos or other designs on pants or shirt.
