Michael Lambert

Michael Lambert, a native of BuƯalo, NY, earned his BA in Dance and Visual  Communication from the University at BuƯalo. After graduation, Michael pursued his  passion for performing, traveling the world and building an extensive career in the  entertainment industry.  

His performance credits include renowned venues such as Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney  Seas, Walt Disney World, and cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Princess. Michael was  honored to contribute as a swimmer/dancer for the research and development team of  Franco Dragone’s Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas, a role that led him to perform with Olympic  gold medal-winning synchronized swimmers in the Azure Underwater Shows at the  Silverton Casino in Las Vegas. He was also invited to perform at the John F. Kennedy  Center’s Millennium Stage Series and the Jazz Dance World Congress. Michael’s other  engagements include special projects for Busch Gardens, Fisher Price, Disney, and  multiple Las Vegas performances. He was even selected as the model for the male dancer  icons at Disney’s Pop Century Resort in Orlando, FL.  

After returning to BuƯalo, Michael transitioned to a career in dance education. He joined  the faculty at Walh Performing Arts Studios and shortly after began teaching at BuƯalo  State University. Additionally, Michael served as a part-time faculty member in the Theatre  & Dance Department at the State University of New York at BuƯalo for five years. As a  dedicated member of Dance Masters of America (DMA), he serves on the National  Education Committee (Jazz Chairman), is a core faculty member of the Teachers Training  School (Jazz Dance), and also teaches ballet at the Student Honors Intensive Program  (SHIP). Michael also created DMA’s online teacher certification review videos, helping to  prepare teachers for their teacher certification exams in jazz and modern dance.  

Michael had the honor of serving as the National Director of DMA’s Miss/Mr. Dance of  America Scholarship Competition, Petite/Master Dance of America Scholarship  Competition, as well as the Chairman of DMA’s College Outreach Program and College  Forum. He also served on the board of directors for DMA’s aƯiliate Chapter #8 in Western  New York, where he founded and directed the Chapter’s Jr. Membership program in 2014.  

In July 2025, Michael will be honored with the prestigious Dance Masters of America  President’s Award at the national convention in Orlando, FL.
